The Mount is the home of writer Edith Wharton who built her house in Lenox in 1902. Author of the Age of Innocence, Ethan Frome and The house of Mirth. She wrote over 40 books in 40 years, including authoritative works on architecture, gardens, and interior design.
Frelinghuysen Morris House & Studio is set on the 46-acre estate of abstract artists George L.K. Morris and Suzy Frelinghuysen is a museum that contains both their artwork as well as some of their more famous colleagues’ artworks such as Picasso, Braque, Leger and Gris.
Berkshire Scenic Railway Museum will take you on a 90 minute scenic railway tour between the towns of Lenox and Stockbridge; you will get to experience a part of the Berkshires unable to be seen by car.
