Richmond, MA

Settled in 1765, Richmond, MA is a small, rural community located in the Western Central part of Berkshire County. The town was primarily just an agricultural one until 1829 when iron ore was discovered on the Cone farm. This led to development of an important iron works which lasted until 1923. Today, Richmond’s focus is on hospitality and small town charm. Richmond, MA is centrally located just out of Pittsfield, Lenox and Great Barrington, so it is close to all the amenities and entertainment.
